Iowa Faith & Freedom Coalition hosted its most successful Spring Kick-Off ever!  Many attendees made comments that they felt this year’s spring event was the best ever.  Indeed it was!  Close to 350 energized activists filled the room to witness an informative and exciting program.

Congressman Jody Hice (R-GA) was the keynoter for the evening.  Hands down, Cong. Hice was one of the most motivational Spring Kick-Off speakers we have hosted over these past nineteen years.  Jody laid out the challenges in “fighting the good fight” for our constitutional and biblical principles.  Washington DC is a swamp that he, his like-minded allies, and President Trump are trying to  drain on a daily basis.  He encouraged people of faith to  be bold, to  persevere, to be actively involved in the political arena, and advocate for those principles that made America great.

The four declared candidates for Iowa’s Fourth Congressional District spoke—Cong. Steve King, State Sen. Randy Feenstra, Woodbury County Supervisor Jeremy Taylor, and Irwin Mayor Bret Richards.  In addition, six state legislators each spoke on a different subject matter related to the just concluded state legislative session.  Those that participated were Senators Garrett, Rozenboom, and Representatives Jacobsen, Fisher, and Gerhold.  IFFC Lobbyist Tamara Scott moderated this most informative panel of superb state legislators.

My good friend Kayne Robinson was Master of Ceremonies for the evening and kept the trains running on time.  Benjamin & Joshua Huss did a bang up job in singing the National Anthem, former Congressman David Young gave the opening prayer, and Brad Sherman, pastor of Solid Rock Church, gave the closing prayer.

In  addition, Timothy Head, National Faith & Freedom Coalition Executive Director thanked the attendees for being engaged and working with IFFC to  ensure the success of the voter program.  Tim also relayed that bringing outstanding speakers to Iowa was a service the national organization was honored to be a part of.

IFFC President and Tim Head laid out the phenomenal grassroots work that the Coalition does here in Iowa.  In 2018, over 2.8 million voter contacts were made with the pro-family conservative base. This unprecedented outreach was made to 770,000 actual voters (440,000 households)!  With your continued generous financial support, those efforts will be matched in 2020!

As President of IA Faith & Freedom Coalition, I was honored to present the first of two 2019 Friend of the Family Awards to Norma Doenecke, on behalf of her deceased husband, Arthur.  Arthur was a long and faithful IFFC board member.

In summary, I want to thank you for your support  of our 19th Annual Spring Kick-Off and ongoing work!
